Community Workshop for Artisans, Designers and Hobbyists

Would you like to make things but don’t know where to start? Maybe you don’t have the correct tools or workspace or need inspiration from others like you? Ponk is a workshop and refuge for beginners and professionals alike. It is a place for creating and learning new things. Turn off your mobile phone, free your mind and create something amazing.
Ponk is your new workshop.
 

Our Space

How much does it cost?

BASIC RATE  (per hour per person) 300 Kč
HOUR OF THE FURNACE +100 Kč
HOUR OF CNC / LASER +500 Kč
SUBSCRIPTION  (at least 20 hours) -50 Kč
SUBSCRIPTION REGULARS  (we see each other often) -100 Kč
Student  (ISIC till 25 years) -150 Kč

What's in the price?

  • protective equipment
  • paints, oils and varnishes (present in the workshop)
  • all consumables (sandpaper, glue, screws, bolts)
  • personal advice from the Workshop Expert

What is not included in the price but can be purchased from us?

  • solid wood - what is currently on a hanger
  • metal profiles - what is currently on a hanger
  • boarding (on order) - plywood, chipboard, MDF
  • project specific parts (on order) – hinges, sliders, etc.

How is it working?

COME:
In opening hours. We are in the courtyard of Přístavní 49, just walk through the tunnel and down the steps to your left to the door

RING THE BELL:
The small black one to the left of the door. Push it and wait for a moment.

MAKE:
what you want to make.

STORE:
You can store your ‘work in progress’ for 14 days for free. If we haven’t seen you for 14 days we will start to charge for storage. If we haven’t heard from you for a calendar month we may have to clear away your work forever.

CLEAN UP:
any mess you made and return the tools to their places.

PAY:
There is an ATM just around the corner if you need it.

LEAVE:
and tell EVERYONE about your wonderful experience.

Where and what time?

You will find us in the courtyard accessible through the passage from Přístavní 49, Prague 7.
In the courtyard we are down the stairs to the left. The nearest tram stop is “Maniny”.

We are open to the public on these days:

Fr, Sa*, Su*, Mo 2 pm - 7 pm

* There are courses on weekends. So take a look at the "upcoming events" box to see if a course is listed there.
